I bought this coat in a large. I really like the color and the detachable hood, but I can't appreciate the warmth. Even with the thinnest shirt underneath I can hardly close it. In comparison, my cloak at Lands End [also large] is too big for me. I must have been half asleep when I ordered because I know the quality of the Larry Levin brand is so-so. But the price was right that day (coincidence?) so I'm keeping it to donate to the local outerwear campaign next year.

Although the coat is warm and looks great, there are two big issues that might be too serious to make sense to keep the coat. Problem 1: Down stains on my clothes. I can't wear dark clothes under this coat. Big inconvenience as I have a lot of dark clothes. Washing with a roller every time I wear this coat is ridiculous. Problem 2: The hood is too big. It flies constantly and there is no way to adjust the fit.

This coat suits me but I HATE wearing it because the feathers cover everything I wear underneath and the pants and top for his length are. The feathers not only stick to my clothes, but also stick to my shirt, poking my back or arm wherever they come out from under my coat. This is the second Larry Levin coat I have owned. I had the first for three winter seasons and never had any problems other than the hood being too big. This time I bought it in dark blue. The dimensions are still accurate, but I don't know what happened to this manufacturer's quality control! Every time I wear this coat, my clothes are covered with down. Goes everywhere. I bought this coat a few years ago and loved it. When I found it again, I ordered it right away. I really love this coat. It runs small, so if you are small or medium build, order one size larger than what you normally wear. If you have broader shoulders or a larger build, order 2 sizes up.
