Required for a clean installation

The perfect complement to complete the installation. Leaves a nice clean finish to assemble the door and easy to install.

Pros
  • Pretty packaging
Cons
  • Some nuances

A "trimming " that doesn't really serve as a trimming?

Well fills the depth of drywall that needs to be removed to install the cabinet. My biggest complaint is that this "finish" item also needs to have a flange covering the cutouts needed for the case's mounting lugs.

Pros
  • Compatible with metal and plastic structured Leviton media centers
Cons
  • Large and bulky

Not exactly a decorative ring.

This is not really a decorative ring. This is a lid holder. The flanges you used to attach the case to the wall don't close as shown in the photos in another review. As a result, the cover protrudes slightly from the wall. The only REAL benefit might be that you get an extra 1/2 inch deep into the case.

Pros
  • Simply slide on and snap in, mounting hardware included
Cons
  • Other interesting options available.

Hides the drywall edges but increases the overhang

I barely installed this. Because of this, the door still sticks out about 1/2 inch, which is really the only downside. It would be nice if this panel was lower to keep the door closer to the wall, but I'm no plastics expert so maybe as small as possible without sacrificing too much rigidity. You could probably have putty, sanded and I have those Painted edges of your neckline and left out the trim. I decided to just install the trim and hide the rough drywall.

Pros
  • Hides the drywall cutout around the Leviton Structured Media Center and gives it a more professional look
Cons
  • Some bugs
