💡 Leviton 6098 PG Incandescent Lampholder: Efficient Push-Through Device Review

In the process of restoring many lamps to support Home Without Borders. I was able to restore 7 lamps for donations without leaving my home. Same brands of products I would buy at a local big hardware store without taking the risk of visiting this place. Victory for all participants.

I got a couple of these to rewire some vintage lamps and they worked great! It was easy to pull a new cable through and then squeeze the socket and install. My lamps had threaded stems, so I removed the set screw and screwed onto the base instead. Please note that they really don't fall apart once you put them on - the metal is quite soft, it tends to deform rather than delaminate.

My mother-in-law has a 1960's table lamp with a push button switch that failed after fifty years. She really liked the lamp and after a long search I found this switch. The switch itself was so perfect that I didn't even have to disassemble and rebuild the lamp base. I just swapped the switch. Ten minutes, the problem is solved and I'm a hero (laughs).
