Works but is cheap

This Leviton polarized female to cartridge adapter will work. I use it to connect LED lighting directly to my power station to provide extra light outside the home. The adapter seems cheap and I wish it had 3 pins instead of 2 for stability reasons. It does what it's made for, but I think it should be half what I paid for (just checked, Revain lowered the price).

Pros
  • Color: Brown
Cons
  • No power

A simple solution for those who have a socket on the ceiling

In my basement I have built in can lighting and for some reason a random electrical outlet in the middle of the ceiling. I have no idea how it got there or why the previous owner decided they needed an outlet instead of an overhead light. But until I can get an electrician to replace the outlet with a lamp, I'll stick with this one. I decided for a quick and easy fix and bought this male to male adapter. I just hung it from the ceiling and screwed a lightbulb into it. Voila, $4 cheap temporary…

Pros
  • Medium base socket.
Cons
  • Some little things

Serves its purpose - electrician

Serves its purpose. Someone mentioned that this holder leaves behind a bit like a lightbulb and can shock when touched. Maybe it's true (I live on the 2nd floor, a wooden house with a carpet on the floor), I didn't have time to check it (I won't risk it, I hate electrocution). So I found a similar one at OfficeDepot, bought it, and it also leaves a small lightbulb on the outside, just like that. Aside from that, it works well when you use it behind the sofa where the outlet has room access…

Pros
  • 125 volt
Cons
  • Long delivery
