The mount supplied with the GPS computer is very fragile. I installed this mount on the handlebars but reversed the standard position of the front mount so that the computer is above the stem and not in front of the handlebars. PERFECT!

Got this off a cheaper platinum outdoor mount when the GPS retaining clip broke a third time. Didn't read the fine print - this mount may be ours for high school seniors but the clip is still plastic - so let's hope it doesn't break that easily otherwise it's the same design flaw for twice the price....

I have three plastic Lezyne bindings on the front. They work fine but one of them broke. Since aluminum seemed more durable and the mount insert is replaceable (the part that broke on the plastic model), I bought it as a replacement. It's solid and beautiful, but it has one major and unforgivable flaw: the computer rattles in the mount. Constant noise while driving. I'll stick with the plastic mounts.

In terms of finish, this mount is nice and light. It also easily mounts to my standard road bike handlebars.
