I bought this to send to my guests upon arrival. It holds enough water for when you need it at night, is lightweight and has a sturdy lid that makes it easy to hold. I took off a star because while it's easy to clean with a bottle brush, it's difficult to dry if you don't want to leave visible stains when it's on the bedside table between guests. / That doesn't stop me from making them for guests though, because they look nice, simple and clean, just how I wanted them to be.

For one thing, when used for liquids, the plastic seal is removed, allowing the lid to be thoroughly cleaned. It's a little tricky to separate, but sticking the back of a butter knife between the plastic and glass makes it easier. That's the worst and it's not that bad. Overall, the design is elegant and minimalist, but not functional. When I use it I'm afraid of breaking it let alone dropping it because it's hard to grip and slippery. I think a lot of the bad reviews are due to a misunderstanding of the product. This is not a water bottle to carry around; In fact, only a screw cap would be expected to hold liquid this way and the bottle would need to be made of a much stronger material than glass due to the possibility of dropping it.
