failed on 10m

I used this to set up my 10m antenna and found I couldn't talk to anyone even with a repeater in range. He says the orientation doesn't matter. I removed it and now my 10 meter radio works.

Pros
  • Best
Cons
  • Some difficulty

Pay attention to the 50 watt rating!

It looks good and everything works and probably works fine. I only give it ONE STAR because they hid the 50W max power at the bottom of the list. This should definitely be an above-ground wire gauge.

Pros
  • Certified
Cons
  • Communication with seller

Revainrating 5 out of 5

As expected, fast delivery.

Didn't realize it was rated less than 100w so had to replace it with another one from ebay which was rated 1000w for my ham box. It would probably be fine to run on 2 meters or KB with less power.

Pros
  • Decent performance
Cons
  • Easily repairable

Compromise

Terminal Bolt and Body Threads Short with Minimal Threading. Attempting to use this screw for both grounding and mounting attachment resulted in the screw tearing off. Had to be rewired and grounded with a stainless steel strap around the case.

Pros
  • GOLS Certified
Cons
  • Fair

Well designed, suitable for power strips and surge protectors

Don't miss that it can be used inside and outside of an enclosure or box and effectively serves as a conduit for your coaxial cable. Great design and well made. It hasn't been struck by lightning yet, so hopefully the real health check will wait indefinitely.

Pros
  • cool product
Cons

Cheap but good quality. 50W max

You fit the bill. Carry two of these to protect the Diamond 50XA and Tram. Performance was sufficient for my needs. Carry frequencies and specs at a great price. Sturdy and well built. Great for my cutoff band at 25w and 2w respectively. Would update when I was at or around 50 watts.

Pros
  • Great for me
Cons
  • I won't say anything

Revainrating 3 out of 5

Only works with 50W, be careful!

It would be nice if the main description said that it was only designed for 50 watts. I needed a little more energy than I normally run 20 meters. I increased the power by 3dB and the radio immediately went into foldback. Reducing the power only caused the radio to keep collapsing. Pretty sucks to buy one that can handle more power, but that's the way it is.

Pros
  • Price
Cons
  • Little things

Not a very good value. good for accessories and supplies

I hope I never have to find out how well this lightning rod works. The only major disappointment is that the advert shows two parts, meaning two will be delivered. However, only one piece was sent and it says only one piece will be delivered. However, the two pieces shown in the photo are misleading and misleading advertising. There is no reason two pieces should be displayed other than to try to mislead the buyer!

Pros
  • good thing
Cons
  • I don't remember but there was something

Misleading in many ways, crap

Attention buyers1. There is no reason to show 2 in the main image when only 1 is being offered (at a price that should be for 2). Remove superfluous images that show few quantities but no further product details and give the impression that the customer is buying 2! And show the 2nd image as the guide that shows and says "1 item" (I didn't scroll through all the images so I skipped this one!) 2. Like many others, I also missed the hidden detail that states that it can withstand only 50 watts…

Pros
  • Handsfree
Cons
  • Very expensive
