Rugged design for accessories and consumables

Easily connects to coaxial cable and has a grommet for the ground wire. No problems transmitting or receiving, although I keep mine under 100 watts.

Pros
  • 4. Excellent surge protector PL259 to protect your life, Protection offers other HF/VHF/UHF frequency devices with ultra-low loss. They have an insertion loss of less than
Cons

Easy to install! c Accessories and Consumables

The surge protector is very easy to install but the question is does it work? I won't know until lightning strikes! In that case, I hope we never have to find out if this works or not, but it's comforting to know that I tried to do something to stop nearby lightning strikes!

Pros
  • 5. UHF surge arresters should be installed as close as possible to the protected equipment, often at the point where the coaxial cable enters the building. They can also be mounted next to the antenna for extra protection
Cons
  • Definitely a bad product

Easy Mobile Installation Grounding

I use these for solid grounding on 146/440 mobile ham radios when they are in a cabin. These radios have no other ground connections and the antennas are not grounded to the attic. The antenna and ground remain connected to the radio when I unscrew the connector for portable use. Not really used for lightning protection but can help with surges. For this purpose they are inexpensive and do what I need.

Pros
  • 1. UHF Lightning Arrester, PL259 (UHF Female) To Socket SO239 (UHF Female), PL-259 SPD for coaxial cable. Comes with a grounding screw for easy installation
Cons
  • High price

Easy to install Good design.

I was impressed by both the design and the presence of a compression fitting that accepts AWG 8 or 6 wiring on the ground side. This was great as our local hardware store doesn't have anything better than AWG 10 compression fittings. Although I'm not ready to install this on a bulkhead as the radio shack is in a temporary location pending some other work I have planned, I still do this wanted to go live. Whether this will meet demand is, of course, difficult to say. Protection, but taking intoโ€ฆ

Pros
  • Power strips and surge protector
Cons
  • Receptacle required
