I returned mine after realizing how much work it would take to install. You must remove the headliner completely to access the screws to remove the old one and replace the new one.

very quick and easy installation, exactly the same model as pictured. It shines very brightly, much brighter than normal even with a dark glass. A real eye-catcher and looks great with black body taillights or tinted taillights. Plugged directly into the factory forks.

So far this lantern has treated me well, from installation to operation I have enjoyed the high performance it delivers. It's much cleaner and more modern than the old OEM Tacoma 3rd brake light. It's also been a few months and I haven't had a light fog due to water leaks so it's well sealed. I will recommend this to a friend.

I had to remove almost all of the hat. There were no instructions in the box so find out for yourself. When you finally complete the installation task the light is pretty bright but the gasket seems very cheap and not sure if it will fully seal against the weather. The time will show. The rainy weather is about to start, so let's see how it holds up.

This fixture with 8 built-in LEDs replaces the original factory assembly with 3 bulbs. Seems to be ok so far. I like the instant on and off of LED bulbs compared to the fade in and fade out of analog incandescent bulbs. Only the individual built-in LEDs cannot be replaced, so if the LED burns out later, the entire unit must be replaced, since the individual LEDs are soldered on the circuit board, not in the individual lamp sockets.

It didn't connect to the light flag but flexed until it worked and I had to replace the screws as they didn't work with the standard anchor screws. and the aftermarket ones didn't reach the black bolts and they gave you chrome bolts which didn't show up well and I had to order another light which was cheap so it was fine and maybe with a different setup I'll get the bolts paint it black and figure out how to install it to make it work. The lights aren't bright but I like the smoky cover so I'll
