One piece wood chuck to replace a broken 16oz hammer handle. Fits well, no flaws or chips, needs sanding before oiling, that's all!

The handle had a 1/4" protrusion at the base and a 1/4" curve along its entire length. Clearance groove was off-center 1/8 inch, good quality wood, description should indicate artistic skill required for pre-assembly preparation.

This was advertised as having a wax finish but it was a rough finish. I had to sand and paint to get the right look. A lot of extra work, but it worked with my old hammer head.

Quality wooden handle. Did a little sanding to get a nice smooth finish and a lacquered and sealed handle. Bought this to replace my grandfather's hammer handle who was a self employed home builder and will be passed on to my nephew.

The shape and line is very similar to the old vintage style pen. I have bought many new and old pens. This has to be one of the best. As a hobby I restore old hammers. My wife thinks it's ridiculous to have so many hammers. However, how could I trust the judgment of a woman who was willing to marry a man who restored old hobby hammers? I would generally prefer no separation. If you give it the right shape and use two steel wedges at 45 degrees, the installation looks much closer to the factory.
