Tow and guide my boat onto the trailer myself. I can do them also double as a tow line mine the boat is light enough for that .. they seem to do the job and i use it in fresh water no opinion on how they will hold up in pale water i like them so far!

They seem to be very durable and good looking. So far no complaints. In another review they complained that they are magnetic (that is, attracted to magnets) and therefore cannot be made from 316 stainless steel. Mine are also somewhat magnetic, but I can't find a clear answer on how magnetic the 316 should be. Still, I haven't seen any signs of rust so far, even though I mostly use them in a dry environment. Time will tell, but so far I'm happy.

Excellent value for money. I bought them specifically because they were advertised as 316 stainless steel and I needed them for a marine environment. Before using them, I soaked them in a salt bath and dried them regularly for about a week or two to see if they would develop corrosion. This did not happen while stainless steel brackets from a well-known supermarket chain (an unadvertised type of stainless steel) were corroding near the hinge.
