I bought one of these in June for $56 and was very pleased. I wanted the seat to be larger (it's 30 inches) to use for a standing desk and something solid. The stool is EXCELLENT! I am a fat elderly woman who loves to cook and I have a broken bone in my leg which makes it difficult and painful for me to stand for long periods of time. I needed a counterbalanced stool that I could fold down when not in use and that met the requirements both in terms of price and quality. Better quality expected. Just received the 2 chairs I ordered - we have just purchased a counterbalanced kitchen table and thought these folding chairs would come in handy when we needed extra seating. The back part doesn't look like it has been cut out to make a nice clean seam. While it at least looks normal glued, it doesn't look like the other side.
