ESS ES9038Q2M HiFi DAC. Equipped with ES9038Q2M HiFi chip, the D10s is fast and stable in signal transmission. It can work with your speakers and provide not only DSD and PCM compatibility but also a better sound quality than the usual built-in sound card. Moreover, you can connect line out to the input of your amplifier/headphone amplifier to make it one of your HiFi system. It will greatly improve the sound quality while playing high resolution files. XMOS XU208&Customized Driver&USB Application. D10s uses XMOS XU208 for USB interface. We also use customized driver from Thesycon for better compatibility with high resolution audio file especially DSD native. If you have a better DAC, you can connect the coaxial/optical output of D10s to your DAC, then it will serve as a USB interface. Automatic Power On/Off&OP-AMP Rolling. Even some USB port support power after PC has shut down, D10s still will synchronously power on/off with PC. D10s has OP Amp socket, DIYer could change the OP amp to get different sound. If you are not familiar with remake it, itโ€™s not recommended since it might damage the device. Audio Format and Sampling Rate Indicator. D10s can accurately indicate the audio format (PCM or DSD) and sampling rate of the playing music. Orange LED is soft and not dazzling even at night. Professional Portable DAC. D10s can also work more professionally. For the Windows system, please refer to our Thsycon installation package and its setup tutorial; for MAC, please use Audirvana Plus player. After installing the player will output the original bit rate of music files to D10s.

LARGE BUFFER BETWEEN LAPTOP AND DAC (BUT STARTS BREAKING AFTER 3 MONTHS)

I first used Musical Fidelity V Link between my laptop and the ESS Saber DAC to sort and clean up digital anomalies with great results, but shorted out after 7 years of use. I've replaced it with a $25 Revain USB DAC with RCA, coax, and toslink outputs with acceptable results. I was planning to buy an SMSL SU-9 or Loxjie D30 to upgrade my 8 year old DAC, but I was curious to try the Topping D10 as a buffer or "decoder" between my laptop and my old DAC. He arrived on Friday morning. small andโ€ฆ
