This 2 slice toaster is about as basic as it gets. Stainless steel exterior finish with a mirror hinge which is a nice touch. The toaster is very lightweight when you pick it up. I'm not saying this is an indicator of quality, but it's worth paying attention to. My old toaster weighed twice as much as this one. Overall, it toasts evenly and looks decent on the table This morning I could easily toast a fat bagel in it.

It's definitely a lot wider than usual but it still doesn't fit my huge hamburger buns which is why I wanted this toaster. So I flatten my buns a bit, but they fill in gently without snagging. I prefer flattening to make sure they don't burn or ruin the toaster. I also don't like that the cord is so short which limits counter space. I love that there are multiple settings and a slide out cleaning tray, but my favorite feature is the cancel button.

Great vintage toaster! I've always been looking for a real chrome mirror toaster and the only other one I found was $150 and this one is amazing, shiny and beautiful! The toaster works great but be aware that the chrome parts get very hot during use. When you use it for the first time, you have to run it twice on maximum heat with no bread in it because there is a chemical smell on first use, like most devices. . Then you can toast the bread. I didn't expect it to be shiny metal. I know I saw it had metal on the sides but I think it was brushed metal? Especially since you're grabbing the toaster to move it, plugging it in and unplugging it. We keep ours in a cupboard on the baker's shelf and move them around (we don't have a lot of counter space) and there were fingerprints and handprints everywhere. It's actually very annoying.
