Beechwood Expandable Flatware/Cutlery Tray for Efficient Organization Review

I love this drawer organizer because it allows me to organize my stack of kitchen utensils and cutlery. and down when I open the main drawer. I taped a piece of bubble wrap to keep it from sliding around as much, but that helped minimally. I'll probably have to find a small box or something to attach to the back to keep it safe. Plus it makes me smile every time I open the drawer ;)

I really like that this compartment can be expanded to accommodate different drawers etc, but it does have a downside: thinner items (like knives) slip under some Partitions and get stuck there. This makes them quite difficult to get out and I find it annoying. I've rearranged my cutlery several times to put knives in the compartment where they get stuck the least. It's not the end of the world, but if you're easily annoyed by design flaws, it can bother you every day. .

I thought the quality of the wood was excellent and the extender feature perfect. It takes up my entire drawer and has enough space for all my cutlery (12 sets, measuring table and teaspoons). Organizer measurements prior to purchase. Yes, it moves a little when you open and close the drawer - that's physics. And there are about 10 other inexpensive solutions to this "problem" (rubber feat, rubber mat, some random item in the back of the drawer, etc.).

Actual dimensions 18" [long side of tray] x 2.5" x 13" (expandable to 23"). I was disappointed that it didn't fit in my drawer as I wanted to leave extra room and isn't constructed the way I wanted, none of the sizes in the descriptions seem to fit. It's decent wood, but definitely a bit flimsy. Every time I open the drawer it expands and sometimes throws the utensil off, I think this is because I couldn't use it the way it was intended. I bought this for my cutlery because I was fed up with the plastic that just didn't fit. Whenever I was out and looking at different views, I never knew how big my box was, which led to this constant problem. I saw them online, pulled out my tape measure and woo! works perfectly! fits perfectly and has held up well for the couple of months I've had. The quality is good and strong. This is the nicest cutlery tray I have ever owned. I'd say it's as good as it gets without embedding a custom box in your specific box. The color goes perfectly with my drawers and cabinets. There are enough dividers for everything and they are long enough even for large serving utensils. The only issue I have is that my drawer and tray are very smooth wood and the drawer is longer than the organizer. The tray retracts a little each time the drawer is force closed. This replaced a similar concept I got with brick and mortar that was all white plastic. stretch better than the other as it could "stretch too far" and detach from the center section. This drawer fits perfectly in my slightly oversized drawer right to the brim. The only reason I didn't give it 5 stars was that the compartments for forks, spoons etc could be a little narrower for my liking to allow things to stack better instead of spilling out.
