Does literally nothing. The plastic is so hard that it binds when you dip it, and the only way to bend it straight is to use your hands. Then no.

Like all the others it gets stuck when pressed. Then you have to reattach it (I use the inside of the toilet) at the risk of dirty water splashing on you. Pooh!

I bought this for the shovel-like handle and it's well built and durable. The problem I have is that the bowl or head or whatever you call it shatters on the first dive and hasn't bounced since to allow full suction. Thus, it is only one-third effective for a piston.

Thin plastic so it hangs upside down when you press down and doesn't provide the suction needed to solve the clogging problem! I may have an oversized toilet, who knows, but it's definitely extremely inefficient. I missed the return window or I would have returned. I'd like to think I have a broken one because I didn't understand how anyone could get it to work properly. Shame. Back to shopping.

the plunger later. I didn't realize it until he was over the toilet and fell. There's no easy way to get it out of the closet, and gross and yes, hilarious antics ensued. But because of this design flaw and the fact that the piston doesn't create a seal, it's the worst piston I've ever used. Well my old piston needed replacing so I bought this one. The first time I used it it didn't really sink. You plug it in, press it, and it stays in that position. You then have to use the edge of the toilet

I like the spatula handle but the bowl doesn't really offer much more suction than the old hemispherical plunger, that has always existed. Long accordion-shaped balloons work MUCH better. I liked the idea of a floor cup to stand up and minimize drips and water on the floor (I always use cheap dollar store dog bowls for this), but this one is too tight. The water collects in this bowl and does not dry out, so it stagnates in the lower bowl and sometimes stinks. I have to tilt the flask sideways…
