If you need a professional quality tool

Plastic tools made in China wouldn't handle the stuck transmission lines on my son-in-law's truck. These Lisle scissors, cord removal tool got the job done positively and quickly. Nicely done too!

Pros
  • Good workmanship
Cons
  • I'll write later

Great for Ford F150 Transmission Cooler Line

I needed this special tool to remove the transmission cooler when replacing the cooler on the F150. It is made of metal and is much stronger than other plastic specialty tools also sold at Revain.

Pros
  • High marks for support and durability from testers
Cons
  • Long delivery time

good quality good for tools and equipment

excellent for releasing clutches. Came with a small string of beads to which I added others loosely to hold them together. Excellent quality and chemical resistance. Not fragile but flexible enough to be manipulated into tight spaces but strong enough to loosen stubborn fittings.

Pros
  • satisfied so far
Cons
  • working speed

Perfect for replacing the quick coupler on F150

I had a leak in the transmission coolant line and I had a plastic tool to disconnect the quick couplers. This tool worked much better than the plastic I had before. He was quite strong and did the jo very quickly and easily. I'm glad I spent the extra money and stopped fighting plastic.

Pros
  • Sleek design
Cons
  • Slightly wrinkled

Disconnected rusty and caked transmission lines

I need these to replace the transmission cooler lines on my F250 dump truck. After a good cleaning with a wire brush and a PB blaster I was able to reattach them and break the lines. It required enough force and I doubt the plastic version would have survived. I can put them in my special toolbox along with all the other stuff I'll probably never use again. They really saved the day and paid for themselves.

Pros
  • Stylish and modern design
Cons
  • too dull

Hit or miss if it's with both lines, although the design is correct.

I looked through 5 sets that said they would work on a Ford gearbox but they don't work. I ended up getting this and the plastic and they slid like they should. There were problems with disconnecting the transmission cooler line on the driver's side. The passenger side came in and disconnected the line perfectly. After some inspection after cutting the fitting off, it turned out that the line on the driver's side was thicker than the line on the passenger's side, which is probably why it didn't

Pros
  • Useful not only for its intended purpose
Cons
  • There are flaws

Works but the fitting is cracked

Works well if you follow the instructions and there isn't too much rust. The only problem I had was the fitment on the transmission cooler on my 2007 f150 ripped when I was using this tool. This has nothing to do with the quality of the instrument. The tool is fine. I just don't think this setup was designed with road salt and corrosion in mind. It's a tight fit so the line will rust and expand, putting too much pressure on the fitting and causing the fitting to become brittle from corrosion…

Pros
  • That's good
Cons
  • I can't remember but there was something
