L'Occitane Soap Transforming Shower Gel

L'Occitane Almond Shower Gel has always been great and I use it every day. However, the last two bottles I bought turned into a soapy, odd texture as can be seen in the attached photos. I haven't done anything with these bottles other than keep them in the same place in the shower. I wanted to return it but the return deadline was 2 days ago. This has never happened when I bought bottles from the store and I'll get back to that as I can't even return these. very disappointing.

Pros
  • Body Wash
Cons
  • Protection

A little depressed.

I was expecting "great" from the reviews I read. It is in order. All is well. The almond scent isn't strong and doesn't linger on the skin, which was disappointing as I spent a lot more on it than comparable products. It works well, there is nothing critical about it. Since I have soap scents at home, I ended up infusing them with Almond Cookie scent and it worked. I was just pretty blown away by the price but I will use it. However, I won't buy it again.

Pros
  • Cleaner
Cons
  • Slightly torn

Do not buy in winter

Received my first bottle yesterday and the oil is partially frozen. If it's similar to other oils, say olive oil, the texture of the oil shouldn't have changed during freezing and thawing. At room temperature everything seemed fine; However, it didn't smell like almonds and it didn't "foam" as advertised, so I have to assume the molecular structure has loosened. Most oils go rancid quickly when frozen, so I'm disappointed. Anyone have experience with frozen food?

Pros
  • Skin care
Cons
  • No color required
