I don't know why I would ever buy another brand.

I've been looking for electronics pliers for a while and have tried several brands around town and at Revain. I got some nameless names from a hardware store that wasn't quite closed and a couple of Irwins from Revain that also had their jaws dropped. These Hakkos close completely (or up to 5,000) over the entire length. The jaws are wide enough to get a good grip on whatever you want to reach and the teeth are noticeable but not sharp enough to damage your piece. I love my Hakko soldering…

Pros
  • Long 3mm wide general purpose electronics pliers
Cons
  • Fade Out

You need these pliers

These things are so great. I looked for this particular form factor and bought them because they looked like the best option. Wow! They work great for my specific target purpose, but not only. The nose is like flat, thin precision pliers. But it's a thin jaw. Even pliers have a wider (thick) profile, making them difficult to use in very tight spaces. Not this one. And the serrated jaws have a nice gripping finish. After a few months I came back to buy 2 more pairs. I need them everywhere now…

Pros
  • Flat outer edge makes it easier to access crevices or areas with lots of components
Cons
  • You could have chosen a newer model

Great pliers for little ones

Great pliers for small intricate jobs. I'm a watchmaker and this pair is my favorite. I have two pairs, one for the shop and one for the home visit toolbox. I love the fact that the jaws are serrated and the width of the jaws is just right at the top. Over time, the jaws at the very tip will expand slightly, making it difficult to get a good grip on the very tip. but overall I'm very happy with them. I use them A LOT every day. I am ordering two more pairs for my shop. The only other downside…

Pros
  • 32mm serrated jaws with precision ground surfaces for smooth operation
Cons
