Bought this sponge after reading it was comparable to a beauty blender. When I opened the sponge, I immediately felt that it wasn't as elastic as a blender. I bought this to replace my Beauty Blender mainly because I just wanted it cheap and thought I'd give it up sooner. It's ok, it's heavier and I don't feel like it's as good as the original, but that's enough. It spreads makeup without caking, but doesn't have the light, airy, and blended effect of a real one. I used to only use the Real Technics sponge but have found that the texture, feel and application has changed (very hard) with my recent purchases and I was very disappointed.
