I would definitely not consider this dress to be "formal," but I think the description makes that clear. I was pleasantly surprised, though, at the quality of the fabric. I was kind of expecting that thin, wrinkly, shiny knit stuff, but it is actually pretty thick and it feels nice. No loose threads, either. The neckline is elasticized so it will not gap. But it’s too tight. I wear an 18 women’s in brands like Liz and Ralph sleeves are tight in the upper arm and then baggy along the forearms. The torso is just too tight.
