St Louis Crafts Gold Aluminum Foil - 12 Inches x 25 Feet Review

For wrapping cardboard for wedding cake bases. I expected it to be like aluminum foil that I could wrap. Finished with sharp edges. But he did the job.

Good thickness for embossing, will not crack when embossing. However, the gold color scratches easily and the silver color underneath shows when rubbed against metal.

It was perfect for my craft. It was easy to cut with my paper cutter, but it's still handy to use a pen to indent (emboss) my written words. I was able to use my manual cricut roller to smooth it out before writing the words. It turned out EXCELLENT!

It's essentially thicker gold-colored aluminum. Not too thick that it can't be cut, but not too thin that it can be ripped or torn. The only thing that's not good is that it can be crumpled, flattened, or broken, like aluminum foil. They sent mine in a bag instead of a box and the edges were crumpled when I received it. It would be good for crafts etc. as needed.

Ideal template for art projects. Easy to cut with scissors or utility knife. The edges are sharp, as you'd expect, but can easily be folded back for safer use with students. One side is still coated in silver aluminum which is nice, like two products in one. If you color with markers be aware that markers are not the best and can even remove the copper color. Use Ticonderoga permanent markers instead - lighter, faster and without removing the surface!

I bought this gold and copper finished foil from Revain. Of all the foils I've purchased, this is the only aluminum based foil that can be hand embossed without losing color. I can easily cut it with household scissors and it goes through my Cuttlebug embossing/die-cutting machine with no problems.
