Causes brownouts and under-voltage

I use an *official* Raspberry Pi power supply to power both the Raspberry Pi 3 and the official Raspberry Pi 7" LCD. Never get under-voltage warnings with this power supply After adding this switch I get low voltage warnings (amber flash on display) during boot and shutdown and secure higher CPU load.Truth.This is clearly causing a noticeable voltage drop which has an obvious effect.Maybe Is this product "good" if it uses the official power adapter to power *only* the Raspberri Pi and noโ€ฆ

Hardly works for Pi 3

It doesn't supply enough voltage for Raspberry Pi 3, the light icon appears and sometimes the red LED on the Pi goes out due to under power, but when I connect the power supply directly, the Pi works fine, then i can connect my external hard drive but when i turn on the switch it doesn't provide enough power to the pi 3 and if i try to connect my external hard drive it will just turn on my hard drive and then turn off my hard drive. I'm very disappointed A picture with an HDD A picture withoutโ€ฆ

Just doesn't work 100% of the time

I do not recommend this cable. Firstly, the micro USB socket is too long, so not every micro USB plug can fully fit and power the cable. Second, the cable assembly is poorly made and comes in an undersized box, causing cables to bend beyond their bend radius and I'm sure this has contributed to loose/broken connections on the female end of the cable. The performance drops every time I wiggle/move the cable slightly where it mates with the power supply. There are definitely better products outโ€ฆ

Causes brownouts and undervoltage

I use an *official* Raspberry Pi power supply to power both my Raspberry Pi 3 and the official Raspberry Pi 7 inch LCD screen. Never get low voltage warnings with this power supply. After adding this switch, I get low voltage warnings (amber flash on display) during boot and shutdown, and safely guess any higher CPU load. The product description says it causes "the smallest voltage drop, blah blah". " isn't true. This obviously causes a noticeable voltage drop, which has an obvious effectโ€ฆ

  • Out of fashion

I'm using this for my RetroPie build with Raspberry Pi 3. It works great. My problem was that even after turning off the Pi via the RetroPie menu item, the hardware was still on with the light glowing. I could have just ignored it, but then the second problem popped up, how to re-enable it. Either way, you'll end up inserting and removing plugs into the chipboard itself (which can eventually loosen or break the plug on the board) or from the power plug (which lies awkwardly on the floor at theโ€ฆ
