🔌 Efficient Power Connection: Lowrance CA-8 Cigarette Plug Power Cable Review

The device was not working when we received it. We contacted support but they wouldn't leave the new block overnight. They were NO help. We decided to fix it ourselves. Anyone who has done this before connected the wires in reverse. Low quality. Thanks to my able husband he now operates and drives our Lowrance.

The packaging was spot on. Came in Lowrance packaging. I can use this in my ice fishing car and also in my ice fishing ATV. I relocated the extra hardwire cable and then put heat shrink tubing over it to protect it as I will most likely just be using the cigarette lighter plug, but it's nice to know I can use either or .

Works great with my Lowrance HDS7 Gen3! It's pretty nice to upgrade and learn how to use the HDS7 at home instead of when I'm trying to catch a fish. It makes learning the controls and menus so simple and easy to learn how to use HDS effectively.

This connector did not work! Turns out the positive and negative wires were miswired from the factory! Forced me to return a GPS that I thought was broken. Bought a new GPS and same problem. Then I discovered the problem. Wrong connection! Totally unacceptable for something that comes from the factory! Obviously no quality control!

Works great! I bought an AC-DC converter and it didn't work, which disappointed me. I have a car starter battery box with cigarette lighters and it worked great with that. Sitting in the living room playing with your Lawrence and watching TV is far nicer than sitting in a cold boat in a barn. Now I would like to find a cable for my hummingbird.

Great! I bought this to make my Elite 7 Hdi portable (so I can learn how to use Lowrance and manage settings and waypoints at home instead of on a boat). What's great is that it comes with a choice of 2 types of connectors: a bare wire with the ends of each wire already stripped, and a cigarette lighter socket for connecting an AC/DC adapter in my case. I use this cable with a Wagan 5A AC to 12V DC power supply so I can use my Lowrance HDS Touch at home. The cable is manufactured in the typical Lowrance quality. It has two cables that connect to the gun's connector: a cable with a cigarette lighter mount and an additional cable for connecting a converter. Since I am not using this cable with the sensor. Power cord plug fits and works great on my Lowrance HDS 9 Gen 3. Use this cable to power your home appliance. Bought a Wagan AC/DC 12V power adapter as recommended by others.
