Works very well! in Accessories & Parts

Just used for the first time - MUCH better than the old pump heads. I have a Craftsman (Ryobi I think) manual tire inflator. The original tip and the one it replaced were rubber grips that didn't hold up well and would soon wear out. I bought a heavier replacement from my local auto parts store. It was very difficult to use and I had to flex the bar a bit to get it working which caused wear on the inside of the bar. LUMITECO 1/4" brass tire blower: (1) was easy to install, fits perfectly ontoโ€ฆ

Not Notched 1/4 "

I received these two air chuck mini locks just in time. The only complaint I have is that they are not 1/4" as many reviewers have stated, but are much smaller. As I was in a hurry I didn't take a single photo but I saw other reviewers show a clear difference in the photos they provided.I installed one on my old bike floor pump and it was pretty good .Until I tried installing a second one on my gauge tire inflator!Significant gap between the inner tube and the OD of the rod.I used a mixture ofโ€ฆ

Reconditioned 2 bike pumps

Bought to fix 2 old bike pumps. Both had the same problem: the nozzle was no longer fixed on the valve stem due to the rubber drying out. They use a sharp little "blade" to hold the threads and have a soft rubber seal inside to prevent leakage. I'm not sure how long they stay soft, but they can be replaced and seem to be quite strong. The included worm gear clamps are a nice touch, but you could cut yourself if you don't bend them tight. (This is a design limitation of the clamp, not the itemโ€ฆ

Easy and secure attachment to the tire nipple without leaks.

I have two small compressors for inflating motorcycle tires. One was fitted with this type of stop-chuck and the other had (was) a stop-chuck that used a collapsible stop-lever. This folding style flowed like crazy when I was trying to install or remove it, and I had to use both hands to attach the Schrader valve - squeeze the chuck with one hand and fold the lever with the other. This product has allowed me to change that style of lever and it is now as easy and convenient to use as any otherโ€ฆ

  • Great price
Cons
  • New competition

An improvement over the original

This tire inflator normally 'locks' on the tire valve so you hold the spring loaded valve unlocked, slide it over the tire valve and release the lever. Every time it closes on the valve. My original valve was "normally unlocked" so I had to push it against the valve while putting the lever in lock mode. With practice I was able to get this old valve to close about 1 time out of 3 and the other 2 times I deflated the tire. This new valve took some effort to fit into my tire pump's thick rubberโ€ฆ

Pros
  • Easy to read control panel
Cons
  • Some difficulties

Works most of the time

It's a little hard to parse. The device itself is well made with excellent materials, so it deserves a 5 in this regard. However, the potential difficulty lies in the means by which it holds the seal on the valve. As shown in the picture, squeeze the silver lever to open the clamps, squeeze and hold the valve to create a seal, then release the clamp lever and allow the handle to hold the device in place position while the tire is inflated. One tire works fine, the other doesn't. The differenceโ€ฆ
