Leaky. What a pity.

I bought them on purpose as they were not plastic and advertised as sealed. We have lunch boxes that we love so I was happy to buy the same brand. The first time we used them, my son stained his lunch box with suntan lotion. So for 27 € I'm more than annoyed. I think they would be good for raisins or something else small, but that's not why I bought them.

Pros
  • Absolutely amazing!

I love LunchBots, I don't love this one

I hate writing a bad review about LunchBots product. I had such a wonderful experience with their other offerings. I was very surprised that they just didn't work and were finicky. Out of the box, one of the three was unsealed. After some use, the second stopped making poetry. I have one left and it's starting to go. I have to twist it "just like that" so it's tight. Shame as they are the perfect size for my needs (salad dressing, parmesan cheese topping)

Pros
  • great product
Cons
  • Some bugs

Works great but make sure the lid is on securely

These LunchBots spice jars are airtight but you need to make sure the lid is on securely when tightening. Sometimes the lid doesn't close tightly and I have to reattach it. Once it's in place, it works fine. I've used them for fruit cubes, salsa, ranch dressing, ketchup, sour cream, etc. They fit nicely in the small compartments of my LunchBots 5 piece bento box. Just make sure the lid is securely closed. Otherwise they work great.

  • Great for me
Cons
  • Makes me nervous

Surprisingly versatile and delightfully simple

They're practical and durable. They're almost perfect for carrying a small amount of stuff I don't want to throw around. I use them to dress salads and sauces in bento boxes, salt and herbs to go, and once I carefully wrapped some fragile decorations in jeans knowing they wouldn't get crushed in those little metal containers. Because they are so easy to clean, I have absolutely no problem remembering to wash them and reusing them without a second thought. After all, my favorite kitchen utensils

Pros
  • Hands-free operation
Cons
  • Doubtful

Not reliable at all! carving required!

Never had a leak like this. In fact, I prepared the salad, put the dressing in one of them, worked really hard to even out the little bumps to seal it (nearly impossible), and gently pressed it against the salad in the glass salad container. Then into a zip-top lunch box that ended up in a backpack that just sat there because my daughter got sick and stayed home. A few hours later I opened it up and this little container lid was completely off and the lunch was a mess. I only use it for…

  • Excellent overall performance
Cons
  • Not satisfied with everything

so lame - Food Container

I bought these to put peanut butter in. The first problem I had was that the lids don't actually unscrew. There's a small ledge you build up to hold them. It's very easy to twist it past the edge then the lid will pop off. In fact I was careful and the cap falls off all the time. A screw on the lid would work much better. I had leaks but it could have been the wrong cap. I assume any little bump will knock the caps off. I gave 3 stars for durability because they are steel and just don't hold…

Good but not worth it

I had high hopes for them but they were mostly disappointing. Hummus or cottage cheese or yogurt. They hold about 2 tablespoons at the absolute maximum. The tips will curl up, but the "thread" is really just a few tiny cuts, and it's very easy to not close it just right and then your sauce will spill all over the place. Especially if your sauce is oily and makes the container a bit slippery. This has happened enough times that I don't believe these containers are airtight. I always put them in…

expensive but worth it for kids and adults

It's a bit pricey but worth it. That being said I have to admit I've bought 9 at the moment, they're quite small but I use them for adults and kids so don't just see them as sauce cups. I use them throughout the day for small dosed snacks (I take 2 or 3 of these with pieces of dried fruit, peanuts, pistachios (a good couple of sips each) but I do the same for my younger kids. I have snacks in and for them and they're just the right size for a small snack rather than handing them a large…
