I love this mug very much. This is a glass vacuum construction that stays very hot on the inside and very cool on the outside. The lid gets hot when heated, so remove it carefully. Keeps my tea hot for more than a couple of hours. If you have friends who like hot tea or coffee. This is a gift for her!

Nice cup for making tea. However, it doesn't keep the liquid hotter than a regular glass mug unless I change the lid every time I drink. But I don't think any mug will do that if the surface of the liquid is exposed to the ambient air and it cools. Disappointed as I was hoping it would keep coffee and tea hot. Good for soaking so I keep it to myself but not worth it.

I bought this because my friend had a similar Chemex coffee carafe. There must have been more of her. It's great but not big enough at the base so you need to balance your chemex properly. Tea candles are perfect, very easy to clean and store - small enough to stay on the counter or coffee shelf. I still use it because so far it's stable enough for my morning ritual, but we'll see how many times I bust my chemex before my next review!
