Do not buy this toner, it requires a chip from the original HP toner, stick it on the chip comes out in pieces, me received this toner a few months ago, now I'm stuck with this junk. DO NOT BUY THIS. Look for a different toner that comes with the chip.

I thought the chip would only detect a toner empty alarm but this cartridge will not work without the chip. It's IMPOSSIBLE to remove the HP chip from the OEM cartridge, so it's impossible to get this junk from China to work. A complete waste of money and unfortunately I didn't realize it until the return window was closed.

I bought this kit for HP M404n. I saved 15% when I bought it, so I got two cartridges for $72 (for comparison, when I searched previously I saw individual cartridges for $90 and up), so it was a great bargain. It was neatly packaged with instructions and a chip tray under the cartridges.
