Description of LynxOS 178 RTOS

The software industry is concerned with safety and is facing big challenges to make the process of certification (to any standard) more repeatable, more efficient, and more cost effective. The general software industry has been working on software re-use and modularity for many years but these concepts only touched the surface of the DO-178B industry.

A great tool for engineers and technicians

This product allows me as an engineer/technician in my organization's business sector to quickly build complex systems using various parts from other vendors products such are DDS components that I need so often! It also provides excellent documentation when things go wrong which makes debugging very easy since you know what steps caused problems. Sometimes it gets stuck at booting up or taking too long time doing this during startup procedures like powering off computers etc., sometimes we…

Pros
  • Also it's very easy to deploy and use
Cons
  • It lacks the ability to customize with advanced features

Reliable, Stable Operating System with many Applications

I like that this os can be used across most industries in which electronics are being run from an embedded device perspective or even just as something extra if you desire it so much! We have multiple devices running different kinds of operating systems such hardware drivers / applications etc. Sometimes we need some help getting our dev environment setup because there isn't always information out their online about what versions work well together along side each other's capabilities/features.

Pros
  • Stable
  • Reliable
  • Well Documented (not only with words, but actual sources)
  • Easy To Use
Cons
  • Does not support C++

I like that it can be used by both hardware and software engineers in order to improve their projects' quality levels. It allows you to develop your own application within its framework without having to learn another language or use an entirely new one. It's easy to get started using. As long as you know what you want to do, there are no problems getting going. If you're not sure about anything when building a project then this might slow down development time quite a bit. We have found that…

Pros
  • Easy for beginners.
  • No learning curve
  • Good documentation
  • Great support community (StackOverflow)
