Design Flaws: Accessories

Camelbak has been coming up with bad designs lately and this bag is no exception. The locking loop for holding the bladder is inconvenient. It is better to use a small mortise hook. The cross cap leak is well documented. A twist check is required each time to confirm the thread is correct. Also, the bite valve tears off the hose before the magnet releases it. The clips that secure the tail bag are flimsy and fold in such a way that they cannot be inserted into the flap without squeezing it with

Light, comfortable, good storage and magnetic tube

I like what I need for work, I la weight con buena capacidad para llevar lo necesario para una rodada, la agarradera de arriba NO es ergonómica y se siente muy simple y pudiera ser que no du mucho con el tiempo. Punto a myorar.

Pros
  • Easy to use
Cons
  • Very expensive

Best Hydration Pack I've Bought

I'm still playing with the straps to find the perfect position for me when hiking but so far I love these mules! It holds a lot of gear, 3L of water is incredible, and my only complaint is the bladder lock hook in the top internal water compartment pocket. It definitely takes two hands to insert or remove a water bladder, but it's not the end of the world, after all. I like the fact that even the simplest of straps can be detached or reattached very easily. game changer!

Pros
  • Decent Performance
Cons
  • No Automatic

Nice update for my 10 year old camel!

Took up a little more room than my classic 2 liter camelbak with just the top and bottom pack. In addition to extra water, I can now fit a first aid kit, lunch and a light baselayer in the outside of my bag. The overall footprint doesn't seem much larger, and I can handle a little more on day hikes without gaining much weight. I haven't had any of the leaks that other people have complained about and I'm impressed with how easy the lid is to unscrew and the filling process in general. It's…

Pros
  • Nice
Cons
  • Short instructions

That's fine. left shoulder strap. This belt is ONLY on the right side. Why did they bother to make it removable? It's comfortable enough, it has a little insulation in a symbolic gesture to keep the water cool despite the dark color. a lot in terms of small utility bags. So carrying a "set" will only mess up all your gear. Overall I found this package quite disappointing.

Pros
  • Great for outdoor activities
Cons
  • Upgrade availability

Good for mountain bikes and road bikes.

I go on long day trips alone, carrying a raincoat, some water, lunch, tire repair, a spare tube, bike tools, etc. If possible I don't want to get stuck anywhere Avoid somewhere in the Rocky Mountains. It worked well for me even on hot days. I also use it for fitness hikes in the mountains. Fits me well, I'm 6ft 1in, 195 lbs. Fits snugly to the back when riding or hiking. Fairly aerodynamic, doesn't bother me much in crosswinds. The strap can be tightened/secured to keep them from bursting while

Size, fit and function

This backpack is perfectly sized for hiking. I was thinking of one of the smaller ones but it has room for first aid, an extra rain sweater, lunch and other small items I wouldn't be able to carry on my 20 year old camel back. Others have complained about the sealing and yes you have to be very careful to make sure the lid is perfectly horizontal to sit on the bag but when you do it closes nicely. It's very comfortable with 2 liters of water and some gear and so much dryer on my back that the…

Good packaging, good quality, not as big as in the pictures

I already had a LOBO (3L water / 6L cargo) and wanted something with more space for longer mountain bike rides, so I got it I also opted for the MULE (3L water / 9L cargo). It's good packaging, CamelBak quality, has multiple compartments and the container packs and unpacks relatively easily. To avoid leakage, put the cap on the opening of the tank, press it lightly and turn it counterclockwise (!) first. Then when you feel a click, turn it clockwise and tighten it. The quick release hose clamp…

Leaks in two places - Accessories

I expected more from Camelbak. I believe this company is the original developer (circa late 1980's) of these tank packs. You would think they could fix it now. This "upgrade" was meant to replace my regular $25 bladder backpack that I've been using for over a year with no leaks. I just had to keep changing buckles and it had few pockets. Pros: I love all the packs and the pack looked like it would last a long time. I hate to return it but. Cons: The MULE chamber leaks at the top, which I…
