Macally Mac Keyboard Full Size Extended Review

The keyboard was concave on the bottom and curved down to hit the desktop when typing. After a few months (not used for typing - just email and online stuff) it flattened out a bit. But it still bangs on the table as I type. In the meantime, I've noticed that many of the keys in their corners can be fully depressed and don't register a keystroke. I type a lot, but the numbers on the number pad are difficult to read. Worst of all is the zero key on the numeric keypad, which makes fast data entry impossible. When you use this keyboard, check your work! These numbers will be missing! The keyboard's QWERTY section works well, but the feel is too soft and springy. The slash key must be pressed to register.

I was looking for a Mac keyboard with command and option keys in the right place that wasn't too expensive or looked like a piece of crap. This Macally keyboard is just perfect. This keyboard looks great, but it skips or misses keys far too often for my work. During my workday, it takes much longer to go back and check if a letter is missing from names or words. This isn't an issue with my other keyboards, but this one seems to have enough lag that if you type fast and continue, it just skips before it registers the key. This keyboard was my first choice after much research and consideration. I can honestly say I had no problems with it! The keyboard's click-feel is great, and the extended number pad was worth the extra money. I prefer a wired USB connection over a wireless receiver simply because it saves battery life and I don't have to worry about it breaking during use. I had to return this item shortly after receiving it. Three keys on the keyboard only worked when you tapped them with your finger, and even then with a few tries. Really slowed down my day on the shop floor. The spacing also seems wrong compared to my Mac laptop's keyboard. I just bought a Bluetooth keyboard 3 days after I got this one. I recommend looking elsewhere

I've tried the function keys and a few more, everything seems to be exactly what I wanted. The shipping carton was opened with both packing tapes at one end. The keyboard box was damaged, but the keyboard is fine. A little more packing tape and padding had to be used in the box because the keyboard box was hanging out on the inside. Well I was lucky I got what I needed.

I thought it was the new wiring my son put together for my LAN that might be causing power outages. And I'm still not sure. But what I do know for sure is that the Mac loses connection to the keyboard and shows me the Windows keyboard that I should use to solve the problem. There is no key to the right of Shift on a Mac keyboard. Not quite sure what's up with that

Almost great, but too thin and flexible. The keyboard is raised about 1/4 inch at each corner, raising the entire keyboard off the floor. The problem is that it's so thin (and curved) that when you're typing, the center and the entire keyboard flex/bounce no matter where you type. I tested it on different surfaces to make sure any flat or uneven areas produce the same effect and it bounces everywhere.
