Description of πŸ”© M2.5 Machine-Plated Phillips Screws with 0.45 Threads - Fasteners for Various Applications

Steel is often used in applications where strength is the primary consideration. Zinc plating resists corrosion resistance and has a reflective appearance. Phillips drive has an x-shaped slot that accepts a Phillips driver and is designed to prevent over-tightening. Flat head is cone shaped for use in countersunk holes and has a flat top that fits flush with the mated surface.

Faulty Industrial Phillips Screws

The screws were poorly plated and corroded after a week of use. I expected more from an Industrial and Scientific product.

Pros
  • N/A
Cons
  • Faulty plating, quick corrosion.

Good quality pan head screws at a great price.

Ideal for electronic projects. Reasonable price considering you can't find this type of screws in regular hardware stores. These, along with the 6mm version, are most commonly used for small electronics projects (like Arduino projects, Raspberry Pi, Adafruit, etc.). Remember that length "8mm" is measured top to bottom (not just threads). Excellent quality, beautiful design and flat head. You tick all the boxes. Shipping was fast.

Pros
  • Steel is often used in applications where strength is an important factor.
Cons
  • Crumpled

Used to install cabinet handles

I brought 60 cabinet handles to install in my new home but none of them had a longer drawer screw. I've tried finding it at local hardware stores but they're either not the right size or overpriced. I chose these mounting screws for my handle because the thread size is the same as the screws that come with the cabinet screw. No wonder it worked and saved me some money. It's definitely more screws than I need for this project, but it doesn't hurt to have extra on hand for the next project.

Pros
  • Zinc coating resists corrosion and has a reflective appearance
Cons
  • Miscellaneous Miscellaneous
