Good shoes; Short lifespan

I ordered these shoes in August and am happy with the fit. I ordered 2 sizes smaller than my street size, they fit well for gym climbing; I have not used them for outdoor climbing. I found that in early December the rubber on the big toe of both of my shoes started to crack. I had some sizing issues initially but when I switched to my street shoe size I finally got it right. It took about 2 hours of climbing before it dissipated. No pain when I put my weight on tiptoe. When I first put them on and put the weight on my toes, I felt uncomfortable but not painful either. Great shoes. I would order directly from Madrock but…

The unique upper makes me feel comfortable enough to wear for long periods of time and the rubber holds up great most of the time. My only two real complaints are that the shoe struggles with lubrication, so far the C4 rubber is better in that regard and I get my toes rubbing at times. I have what is called Greek foot, where the second toe is longer than the big one, and it rubs. Otherwise the fit of this shoe is…
