I ordered this as a fun activity for my kids birthday party (ages 3-5). It was a great activity with the help of the parents and the kids loved it. My only complaint is that most of the bottles were stained upon opening. This wasn't a big problem as it wasn't very noticeable after adding the sand and this project was for toddlers, but it made it worse that we ended up with damaged products.

I buy a lot of creative/interactive kits to try with my kid. I was a bit worried that my young son would have difficulty with this set, that he wouldn't be able to get such a clear layer of sand, leaving him disappointed or defeated. It wasn't like that at all! Yes, the sand is muddy, so be prepared. With the right setup and help my four year old son made all but one of the bottles himself and they all looked like they came out of a front cap. I would buy it again and even gift it to others.

I remember making these at the county fair when I was little. I bought it for crafts for my four year old son. He had a ball that creates different patterns. I had a sheet for each punching bag so there was very little mess. We forged the bottles to help the sand settle by adding extra layers. There are different types of bottles, two of which can be worn as a necklace. Keep the excess sand if it settles after a few weeks, you can refill it to prevent the sand from mixing. Less than ten bucks and so much fun! My kids really enjoyed painting with sand, choosing colors and enjoying the moment. There are two pendants (star and heart) and then a combination of different shaped bottles. I have young children and teenagers so it was an activity they could do together and everyone enjoyed it. I want to cut out all the colors and line them up on top of the box so they stay upright - if they spill, they'll fly all over the place. Just a funnel so they had to do it…

I bought this as a cheap indoor activity for my son. I enjoyed doing it with this and the sand colors are good. Each bottle comes with a cork and we didn't miss a thing. While enjoying this activity, I noticed a few things: the bottles provided aren't entirely clear, so the beautiful sand colors don't stand out as much as they could; the sand itself is a little dusty, so the color of the sand itself spoils; bottled colored sand walking stick is very difficult to use. This was a fun party for 10-11 year olds. We bought 2 boxes. One of the crates contained all the expected supplies. The second box didn't have the variety of large bottles - several duplicates and 2 were missing caps. Spikes are very important to hold sand! If you don't have time to order replacement boxes for your event (thankfully we did), I recommend ordering an extra box or two, just in case. Beautiful light sand colors.
