I don't like fleece blankets. They look cheap and they are cheap. This is a good alternative, a bit more elegant in my opinion. But this one doesn't cost much more. But this is far more than average. Soft, warm and comfortable and much more than your average throw. Not as big as a double duvet, but very generous for a throw. I bought two of these throws. The first was in blush pink and it's gorgeous! It's the perfect size, beautiful color and very soft. It's warm enough for slightly chilly nights and not too heavy for warmer nights. I love it! And that made me buy a second one in cream. The color was perfect and matched my bedspread. So I was happy to add this second cast. But when I opened it up and laid it on the bed to unfold it, I noticed numerous 4-6 inch long threads hanging from the edges. I've sewn for many
