Well, my child really liked it. Ours is only 3-4 months old. Used when my baby was 6-10 months old. I picked it up to vacuum underneath, but there should be a warning: don't use this on carpets. I bought this based on all the good reviews on Amazon. When the order arrived I opened the box and already smelled a strong plastic/rubber smell. I would not put this item next to my baby as the smell is so strong. Hoping that the smell would eventually go away, I filled it with water and white vinegar as the directions suggested, wiped it clean and left it for a couple of weeks. It's been 2 weeks and the smell was still there and I was surprised to see black feathers floating in the water mat.

A friend recommended this product to me so I ordered it for our grandson. Huge mistake! The valves are on the bottom, so if (and it will) leak it goes straight to the floor and under the carpet.
