I didn't know which water mat to buy because there were so many. I ended up going for this one because of the lovely scene and the "floats". I also found it to be the perfect size for my 3 month old. When I received the item it came in a small box and the inside was filled with water (not hot). You don't want to add too much and I made sure to get the big air bubbles out. This made it easier for the floats to move. The outer border had to be blown up by hand, which didn't take long. When it was a delicious time, my child fell in love with her immediately. coo and smile. Search and try to get floaties. I've never seen her raise her head higher. This was easier for her due to the extra support the inflatable side provided. After passing the tummy time phase, she can still use them when sitting. She loves it and I am very happy with my purchase
