Instructions were never sent to me. The supplied instructions contradict each other. The materials look great, but what the heck am I supposed to do with them without proper instructions? I tried hanging it following the horrible instructions that came with it and the gears you have to attach to the ends just slip and the cord falls off. Complete waste of my money. I am very upset that I bought it now. It looked so cool and I was really looking forward to using this clothesline.

Excellent clothesline. Very durable and stays strong! I had a small problem with the package and the seller fixed it immediately. Very nice people. The cord is easy to assemble, you need a little force and a few tools (pliers, screwdriver). I replaced the J-bolts with wood screws. Please note: the instructions were wrong - you need to assemble it as it appears on the first page of the manual, not as it is pictured in it. We use a pair of these ropes as clothes lines, attached to existing steel clothes line posts set into concrete. So far they're working well, but there are a few caveats. The instructions, though minimal, show how to attach the U-clip to the inside of the hinge inside the aluminum ferrule.
