It's beautiful, but the price is too high

It's beautiful, but the price is too high. If you are sanding a beam and there is no way you can install the nut because the threads have loosened from the sanding. The product itself is tiny, you need a small hand to tighten the nut and everything. You can also buy aluminum frames from your home store and make your own instead of using them.

Pros
  • MakerBeam offers professional prototyping and mechanics for any electronics project
Cons
  • unreliable

Only 10mm dice included

Please note that all 12 pieces of this item are identical 10 x 10 x 10mm dice. Although the description mentions 15x15x15mm cubes for OpenBeam, these are not included in this kit. The description could be clearer in this regard, as well as my assessment. The 15 x 15 x 15mm OpenBeam cubes are available as MakerBeam #100922, but apparently not through Revain at the time of this post.

Pros
  • 12 Black Anodized Aluminum Corner Cubes (10 x 10 x 10mm)
Cons
  • Large and Bulky

Ideal for making hard corner joints with MakerBeam

These cubes are great for making Tri-Hinges with MakerBeam profiles. They are extremely easy to use, especially if you already have pre-cut profiles. This is a great alternative to using an L-shaped connector to make a connection. The connection is fairly rigid, but it relies on only one bolt to hold each joist in place. I didn't have any problems with the joists twisting, but you might want to consider a corner bracket to reinforce them.

Pros
  • Pack of 50 pan head stainless steel countersunk screws (DIN7991 M3 x 6)
Cons
  • Ugly packaging
