Makerstep Stainless Strainers Preparation Lightweight Review

After a few uses, one of the pins connecting the handle to the screen has already come loose. This happened to the largest of the three and I'm not sure the rest will last very long. I only used them to wash down some fruit and kept the total weight in them pretty light. It's probably worth investing a few bucks more in a more reliable brand.

They are really good - strong stitches and edges, strong grips with no play and good grip. I use them for draining pasta, draining/rinsing fresh butter and single buttermilk, and many other uses. It works very well and cleans well and they still look minty despite heavy use. All sizes are comfortable and the largest sits securely on my sink. They will not warp/deform under normal/active use.

It's time to ditch some very old kitchen items including a couple of colanders that are so old they are starting to rust and are starting to wear down the edges. Considering how much they cost I was surprised at the quality when they arrived. From the rubber grip to the mesh material used, everything is top-notch. The range of sizes is large and very useful. Of course, it would be nice if the largest sieve was about an inch larger, but such is life. I'm very glad I took them and recommend them…

The package arrived very well packed. 3 different sizes were knitted together and the Mesh Steel shape held its shape. It feels solid and the grip was really good as it doesn't slip! I love to cook and that would be very helpful as I am a clumsy person. A long time ago I had plastic and the handle kept slipping off so I burned myself draining the water for pasta and stuff. I was also very pleased to see that there is a hook at the top of the net so it can be hung on the wall! Very comfortable…

I bought this set mainly because it was the smallest in the set. I was hoping this would work for straining ginger tea. It's too small for this purpose and the big ones are too big. The handle is also a bit heavy and the strainer doesn't balance properly when placed on the kettle. You have to be very careful how you place it. It also poses a certain safety hazard when straining hot liquids. I wanted to return this item, but the return window has closed. I really don't like those short return…
