Very nice thread for sewing leather!

Note this isn't as pretty as the tiger yarn but it works very well, comes in many other colors and is a fraction of the price. I use 1.0mm thread as the size and it works great. Heck, people look at how clean and even your stitches are. You don't use a magnifying glass to see if this thread is as tightly woven as the tiger. I am absolutely convinced of this topic and I think you are too.

Pros
  • Hands Free
Cons
  • Not as thick as the other

Does not break when tightening for tie-dye

Maybe I just pull too tight but this thread broke 3 times tying the geode shirt. This method requires you to pull the string very taut with a dowel or wooden spoon. I've made dozens of these shirts and have never had a tendon rupture. If you are gentle it might work for you but unfortunately not for me. Although it's probably very good for sewing leather! And that's still a good price for LOTS of string per spool.

Pros
  • Wax thread of constant length, same shape and color; Easy to seal, cut, tie, sew, glue, knot or thread; heat treated ends; Resistant to abrasion and detangling; Easy to pull through and find the ends
Cons
  • Expensive

Very important. Good product.

Mandala is a great product. This is excellent value for money. You have a wide range of colors. This is great for both the beginner and the pro. I can't say enough good things about this thread. Just buy and try. You will not be disappointed. A note. Some colors are waxed more heavily than others. Not sure why, probably due to the manufacturing process. Some colors are very lightly waxed and depending on your preference you may wish to wax a little more. In certain colors I add extra wax. Very…

Pros
  • Waxed Thread for leather sewing, leather goods, tie dyeing, bookbinding, hanging, packaging, upholstery, shoe repair, betting, bracelet making, beadwork, weaving and micro macrame
Cons
  • Available in black only

Not As Advertised - Not Waxed

I thought this would be a great deal given the high price of waxed leather thread. Unfortunately, like some other reviewers, I was made a fool of. The thread is completely wax-free. There is some waxy residue in the plastic bag it came in, but this is solely due to the 'wax' applied to the filament. It feels like they just rubbed the candle on the inside of the bag and then threw in a spool of plastic thread and claimed it was waxed. The thread itself doesn't even remotely feel premium. There…

Pros
  • Woven Polyester Leather Sewing Thread; Slightly overcast; Durable, strong and malleable; Colorfast, will not fade or spread; Light, smooth surface and comfortable touch; Waterproof and suitable for indoor/outdoor use
Cons
  • Some insects
