Through trial and error, I found that the Mandala Painting Scrapbooking Stamping Template is an all-in-one solution for creating stunning designs on different surfaces. I wish they were a little thicker. I even used them. Some of them are so thin I'm afraid they'll fail the first try. The pictures are beautiful

I have not attempted to paint or spray paint them. I used felt tip pens, gel pens, etc. They work well on large areas, but some of them (like the woman) have insanely small parts with very small bits of silicone/plastic separating them, so it's really difficult to do this without some of the parts bleeding together.
