The holes in the hooks are too narrow to support any standard background mount - you have to buy very expensive Expan series cores to use them.

Does its job. Be sure to mount it to the studs in the wall, however, as the back plate is not large enough to provide rigid support. Cannot take the constant hauling up and down of the chain on the background without the added support of another piece of wood added to the drywall.

Robust steel. Not flexible and not bendable. This is a really strong pair of bindings. Be sure to attach them to a solid foundation or support post with at least 3-inch screws. Do not use drywall screws. Drywall screws are too brittle and will break if rubbed against steel fasteners when being fastened to a wall or ceiling.

NO extension system required for use. I just put a bolt (like one of the super clamps) in each end of a 272B Manfrotto bar. I hang a 9ft roll on it with no problem. In fact, I like them so much I'm going to buy a 3 hook hanger so I have a black, white and gray roll all hanging and installed at once because swapping a single roll is a headache.

combined with Panavise 863W T-shaped ceiling clips to create a false ceiling compatible background support. This allows me to move anywhere in the office without the need for supporting tripods. I also have a three sided holder but it seems like overkill for an 8 foot ceiling. I can swap out bg if needed (which is rare). A one star downgrade is not desirable. I wish the mounting flange was a bit longer so I can easily attach 2 T-clamps for rigidity. Although the product itself is good.
