Seems to work just the way I want it

This is my third Manfrotto tripod head to support my Nikon Coolpix P1000 heavy retractable fixed lens camera. The other two heads lowered the camera, and it took some effort to realign it. This fluid head works great on a tripod.

Pros
  • Finally bought it
Cons
  • Long delivery time

Smooth action Very smooth

I put this amazing video head on a crappy old tripod and now I don't feel like I have a crappy tripod! The action is super smooth. I take it off and use it on a monopod occasionally and it's still great. I get a lot of cool shots with this head. The base plate is great because it snaps into place and I can quickly swap out the camera for a Glidecam. Highly recommended

Pros
  • Sleek design
Cons
  • Sun Sun

Works almost as expected from other people's recommendations

Works almost as expected from other people's recommendations. It's a bit tricky to position my Samsung NX1 with a 16-50s lens because of the lens barrel rubbing on the mount unless the camera is mounted very far forward. This makes it difficult to compensate for vertical movement. However, if I add a vertical grip to the camera, the lens has enough free space and the camera can be mounted in a better position.

Pros
  • Broad spectrum
Cons
  • Doubtful

Works great on my Sony Ex-1 and Canon 7d!

This is a great tripod! works great with my Canon 7D and Sony Ex-1. I believe this will work with any professional camcorder, if you want to use it with a film camera with matbox and accessories I would recommend the larger Manfrotto. The plate system is a little odd if you're used to the old ones, which insert into the headhole at the front or back and are removed the same way by pressing the release button on the side. This works by placing one side of the record on the hole in the head…

Pros
  • Great overall performance
Cons
  • No insurance

Great Fluid Cap

This review is for the Manfrotto MVH500AH Lightweight Fluid Cap. I've had this fluid head for about a month and have used it fairly lightly. I only use it for photos, not videos. Before that I had a Manfrotto ball head. It worked well except I never liked the included quick release plate. I was intrigued by this liquid head when I saw it being used and endorsed by photographer, teacher and YouTuber Hudson Henry. After watching a few of his videos I decided to buy one. The pan and tilt movements

Pros
  • Great Price
Cons
  • Big and Bulky

If it's Manfrotto, then it must be good.

However, considering that anything can happen, I have never bought a Manfrotto/bow tripod, head, auxiliary mount, plate, etc. that, even after many years of intensive use, is not perfect would work work perfectly. I recently decided to get into videography and decided to invest in a flexible pan head instead of the joystick and standard ball heads I use for photography. My camcorder is a Panasonic HC-VX1K with a Shure VP83F LensHopper microphone, which together are well under the advertised…

Pros
  • Lots of positive emotions
Cons
  • No performance
