Works well with Raspberry Pi

This powered hub works well with Raspberry Pi Model B. I've bought three of these so far and use them to power the Pi, external drives and WIFI adapters (each powers all power these devices simultaneously, meaning one device can power all of these components AND the Pi.

  • Price
Cons

This is a good self-powered USB hub!

The product arrived without any problems, the delivery was fast. So far no problems have occurred. It's definitely quite small, which I wasn't expecting. It's actually good for me so I can carry it with me when I need it. Overall I think this is a really good hub, especially if you need a separate power supply for a USB hub.

Pros
  • Absolutely amazing!

Reliable and fast. in Computer Accessories & Peripherals

Unlike the hubs I've used in the past, this one seems a lot more reliable. My 7 year old MacBook Pro almost never had a device connected to this hub installed. A sliding door at the top can help prevent dust from building up on those two top connectors, but it makes insertion more difficult and slower. The transfer speed seems to be slightly faster than my old USB 2.0 hub.

Pros
  • Good thing
Cons
  • Hard to say

I had to work on my stack over the weekend to learn some new Ansible/Docker lessons and it died. 1.5 years and he died. Went to support site and nothing. It was cheap. So you get what you pay for. cheap. Now I have to run to Costco and buy something I can return without fear of losing my membership! LAUGH OUT LOUD!

Pros
  • Everything is fine!
Cons
  • Periodicity

Price plus feature, works great with iMac and 7 devices

So many USB devices, so few ports on an old iMac. This little guy has become a great addition to the family of devices and cables. Everything connected to it works. The ports are well spaced and fit snugly around the cables so they don't slip out easily. That looks good too. It's been in use 24/7 since we got it and no problems so far. Justifies the low price.

Pros
  • Quality construction
Cons
  • Security

good for pi and everything, really hub with 7 ports

This one works on everything and has 7 ports on a hub ie. a chip. If you look at the tree, all 7 ports come out of this one device. Most 7-port USB hubs are actually two 4-port hubs with one port of the first connected to the second, which increases latency and limits the number of ports. Hubs - and the 4 ports that go through 2 hubs versus the 3 that go through 1 are unlabeled. It's well made and works well. It also has an external power supply that you can use if your peripherals draw a lotโ€ฆ

Pros
  • A lot of positive emotions
Cons
  • Dubious purchase for old people

Great little product

I'm using it with a Raspberry Pi to power a USB keyboard, mouse, Wi-Fi adapter and a few other devices. It was important to get a device with a powered USB port that was compatible with the RPi - not everyone is compatible. It is attractive and nicely designed with 3 ports on the front edge, one on the ends and two closed ports on the top. This arrangement is suitable when some of your USB ports/devices are large and need extra space. While I won't be traveling with it, its design makes itโ€ฆ

Pros
  • Great overall performance
Cons
  • Can't remember

Works perfectly! - USB hubs

This little one works wonders. To be honest, I had never heard of Manhattan products before, but I took a chance and bought this 7-port USB hub for my Raspberry Pi project. were very happy with it. From the driverless Linux installation to the stability it offered for both powering my Pi and its accessories, I was very satisfied. However, I threw away the plastic case as it was for an embedded project. The only downside I looked at with this hub is the silver flexible USB cable that comes withโ€ฆ

Pros
  • Ideal for a small home
Cons
  • Functionality

After getting an Apple Thunderbolt Display to use with my Mac at work, I was disappointed to find that USB devices plugged into the USB ports of the Thunderbolt display were plugged in, as was both the Apple mouse and keyboard stopping interacting with the Mac after the display was disconnected and then reconnected. Since I leave my desk several times a day and then come back, this was not an acceptable situation. Searching forums and other sources of information on the internet I have come toโ€ฆ

Pros
  • Nice packaging
Cons
  • Not bad
