Description of 🚽 Mansfield SmartFasten Tank to Bowl Kit 630-0204 (Black) - 2" for Enhanced SEO

Mansfield 630-0204 2" SmartFasten Tank to Bowl Kit. Includes tank to bowl gasket, three patent-pending bolts, three nuts and ballcock coupling nut:. Hassle Free: The bolt locks in place, so no reaching into the tank while tightening the nut. Washer Free: A rubber seal is already molded onto the bolt. Rust Free: Since the bolt's head is rubber, water never comes into contact with metal.

Much better than old style screws

I removed the cistern from a Mansfield toilet to paint it. The original screws were badly rusted and one had to be cut off. When assembling I used these new type of screws. They are well sealed and plastic nuts should not be a problem in the future. Simple and excluded washers. Would buy again.

Pros
  • Sleek design
Cons
  • Some issues

I saved myself the expense of calling a plumber.

This set is perfect. It was easy for me to install; In fact, I had more trouble removing the old rusty screws. Just a word of caution, be sure to keep the tank level while tightening the bolts. I fixed two toilets, but on the second I overtightened the rear screw before tightening the two front ones; This tipped the tank backwards and the tank was leaking into the bowl seal - had to be loosened and adjusted.

Pros
  • Impressive
Cons
  • I won't say anything

I recommend using putty for caulking

this kit is needed to mount the tank but my first attempt at mounting leaked at one of the 3 screw locations, thought of using plumbing putty but figured it was probably not necessary. No suggestions were mentioned or recommended on the packaging. So I took it apart and added putty around each screw head and fixed the leak. I don't necessarily blame the product as my cistern may have had its screws misplaced to prevent a proper seal, which is not usually present in all toilets. Otherwise works…

Yes, it fits Mansfield 160; Fairly easy to install

Rubber grommets are molded onto the tank bolts. Insert these bolts into the tank mounting holes and tighten. Insert the cistern and screws into the mounting holes on the toilet bowl and use the nylon/plastic nuts to secure the cistern to the bowl assembly from below. nice YouTube video from Mansfield showing exactly how to do all this. I had to adjust the screws several times to get the correct distance from the tank to the wall. Take your time and everything will be fine.

Pros
  • This is amazing

  • Available in white only

Did the job - toilet hardware

I have a standard American toilet that has been leaking from one of the cistern bolts to the bowl. The original screw was unique and could not be found in large stores or plumbing stores. I contacted (three tries) American Standard and couldn't even get through to anyone to order replacement parts for this model. Note. Someone called me back a week later. Useless. I bought two different "universal" tank bowl kits that didn't work. Found this Mansfield kit and figured why not try again. Went…

Worked great in Mansfield 160

I was a bit skeptical when purchasing this based on several reviews. It was listed on the Mansfield website as a replacement for the 160 and worked great. Incredibly easy to install and the rubber seals/fills holes with no leaks/leaks right from the start. Installation Note: Install all three loosely, and then tighten the two sides evenly to align them. Tighten the back as well, but not as tight as the sides. . .until the sides are sufficiently tight and the tank is level left to right; Then…

Pros
  • High marks for support and durability from testers
Cons
  • Not as thick as other options

Solves rough installation problem

We have a Mansfield toilet. We noticed that the toilet is open all the time. So as a DIYer I got myself a complete universal tank replacement kit. The washers and bolts in the kit seemed small for the 3 bolts that Mansfield toilets have. And of course, after about a week, we noticed a leak from the screws. We turned off the water in the toilet (an entirely different problem) and emptied the tank. I was able to install them without removing the inside of the tank. And they are solid! The rubber…

  • Easy to use
Cons
  • Concise instructions

Works with Mansfield 160

I was a bit skeptical at first given the bolt design with no washers/plastic nuts and an incorrect answer saying it wouldn't work with 160. But it seemed to work fine with my Mansfield 160. It's been full of water for an hour now with no visible leaks. I followed another reviewer's advice and screwed in the two front screws first, then the rear ones. This was good advice as I noticed that if I just tightened them the same way the tank would recline a bit - just because the weight sits when you…
