This is perfect for my queen size bed. My top mattress is 18 inches deep and underneath I have a box spring skirt to the floor. Linen is not included. I show it with the bodice folded up a bit so you can see the plaid pattern on the back. It's reversible. I only use my own pillowcases as I don't usually deal with pillows ;-). It's cozy and fun for winter days. It's the light weight that I prefer.

Looking at the photos I was hoping and thinking it would have a much more rustic/faux quilt look. Although the photos show the quilt was machine made and not sewn, I found the print really more rustic than the cheaper cartoon effect it has in real life. I'm known to be a linen snob and I have to agree I thought I would regret buying this blanket. I have a queen size bed and as always I bought a queen duvet. Otherwise they are too short. Living in Wisconsin, it gets colder at night and my flannel sheets and duvet would have sufficed, but I needed something to cover my bed as my duvet was not available. I ordered the queen size. it's quite heavy - I was surprised at how heavy. The colors are beautiful and rich, and the pattern is very cute. Good points Very soft. Looks exactly like the photos in the ad. Winter is long because there is no Santa Claus and he does not wish you a Merry Christmas. He is light. The stitch type holds the material in place. The square patterns are not sewn together. It's just a big pressure. Opinion and seems flimsy Thread could easily snag on something (I have a blue blanket I bought at Walmart with the same stitch pattern and the stitching is a little tighter and the thread is thicker).
