I am not sure if it has already been used or returned.

I received the goods on time. When I went to pick it up from the porch, the box was open. The easel came in a flimsy box and was either returned and resold or used. Some parts were missing and I had to get extra washers to put them together.

Not worth the extra money for wheels

The easel is fine. I don't see anything special here for the extra $50. he is light. But that also means it's not as hard as you might think. I bought it for my wife. She's still painting on the table. If you never put it on wheels you can use it on a table I think that's a bonus. Added 4/14 With wheels, you can still use it on the table. Just hang the wheels over the edge.

very poor quality

I bought the Martin Rivera wooden easel and returned it. The quality is very poor and the wood is very rough (no sanding or finishing). The main problem, however, is that the wood was split in many places on the top of the easel body where the screws were driven into the wood. One incision was 4 inches long.
