Good for beginers in my review

Good trainer for beignners. Exactly as described. If you gonna to train your skill or memory, this device is good choice I think. It's ligth weight and rather small. Portable to carry in a bag. No sound but good for training everywhere without distrubing others.

Pros
  • easy to use handy and very practical
Cons
  • Alright

Not work as avertizes

"I’m was unable to add or delete cords. seems to be stuck in a c, ami, dmi, g progression. asked what am I missing?" Nothing helped worked so return for a retry>

Pros
  • Look authentic
Cons
  • I need her to write the review for more details but basically it didn't work for her.

Great product for my opinion

Haven't tried it yet just unpacked it. Look a bit plastic like hope it will do what I need it to do (help me practice. Cheap and verry confusing to use.

Pros
  • Learn chords on-the-go with the portable pocket practice tool
Cons
  • Cheap and verry confusing to use

Product photo misleading

The person in the product photo clearly has no idea how this product is used. It works great to measure the height of your strings above your frets though. I took away a star because mine has some unevenly spaced markings.

Pros
  • I liked it helping me, but a little flimsy.
Cons
  • it does help a little. for what you get it should cost 15$ or less.

Good value; plan for long shipping time

This string action gauge is every bit as good as Stew-Mac, as far as I am concerned, and a LOT less expensive. That said, BEWARE SHIPPING TIMES. These ship from China and it took about 2 weeks for me to receive mine in Georgia, USA.

Pros
  • ♫ Smart Guitar Chords Training Tool: 6 String 6 Fret allowing you to practice more versatile scales and note combinations; design a rotatable screen which could display the most basic, common chords featuring precise finger positions, as we put over 400 kinds of chords inside the IC. Great for guitar beginners/ students to develop muscle memory for chords and is a perfect tool for finger placement exercise.
Cons
  • It was not what I was looking for...I thought the ad was misleading.

A waste of time and money

So this product was not what I was expecting, it is cheaply made after all. Even though is was helpful in rudimentary hand placement and memory pertaining to the distance of the strings, it really didn't help with anything else. It was akin to loosened ukulele in strings and sound

Pros
  • Can be used in conjunction with other learning materials, such as books and videos
Cons
  • It may not include all of the necessary chord variations

but it seems sturdy. I used it as a guideline but only .

very sharp edges. I was afraid of scratching my guitar, but it seems sturdy. I used it as a guideline but only loosely because I like to use a capo on some of the higher frets and needed the action a little higher than the tool suggested.

Pros
  • Portability allows you to practice in different locations and environments
Cons
  • It may be too heavy to take on long trips or hikes

and this cool piece of metal is a gift from the heavens .

I'm just learning to do my own basic setups for guitars, and this cool piece of metal is a gift from the heavens to me. Having this ruler, has made me look like I know what I'm doing, when setting up my own guitars, or one of my friend's guitars. It's a must have for anyone that is a guitar tech, or an amateur, at home, doing their own work.

Pros
  • Practice anywhere, anytime
Cons
  • One string won't tighten. Makes the whole thing useless..

Pros
  • Saves time and money by eliminating the need for expensive guitar lessons

Cord trainer in my review

This item did not come with direction on how to use it and limited information on how to set it up. It's a total POS and a pain in the ass as well.

Pros
  • Helps you master difficult chord progressions
Cons
  • The product may be expensive compared to similar devices

Great for correcting action!

I ordered this as a stocking stuffer for my boyfriend since he purchased a used guitar and the former owner messed up the action on it. He loved that there were different measurements on it and he was able to hold it different ways.

Pros
  • 12.32 x 2.4 x 1.77 inches
Cons
  • Don’t buy.

Worth having in the luthier bag.

A good all in one measuring tool for setting up your guitars. I am not a professional luthier, so I can't say what they use. But it's great for setting up and adjusting my guitars at home. It also looks like you know what you're doing if you let your friends see you measuring the guitar with a cool tool.

Pros
  • Battery-powered for convenience and long-lasting use
Cons
  • To small for fingers

and while I absolutely love their stuff

I would imagine most people looking to buy this are familiar with the industry standard brand when it comes to luthier tools.the one that rhymes with "blue-pack", and while I absolutely love their stuff, some of it is wayyy overpriced and their string action gauge is probably the best example ($18.95). This gauge has every single gauge and ruler as theirs which makes this a no brainer if you're in need of one.

Pros
  • Learning & Education
Cons
  • The product is not easy to use and the instructions are poorly written.
