I ordered this mattress pad to help my daughter deal with her dust allergy. As soon as I took it out of the packaging, I realized how disgusting it was. It's dirty and covered with orange-red spots. There's even a mud ring covering the top of the lid. The stitching is also sloppy, the threads are sticking out. Very disappointed. I gave two stars because the size was exactly what I expected.

The zip came loose the very first time I put it on my mattress so the mattress has been in the protector (this is for my bed at our country house) for a year. I finally had to cut it off today so I could put a clean protector on it and of course I have to buy a new one. However, it did a great job of protecting the mattress from mice and their droppings and also protected the mattress when my dog got sick in bed.

You'll find them at much higher prices, but by paying more you don't get better protection. and serves the purpose for which you need it. In terms of durability, if you don't move your bed or anything else, it will stay there for as long as you want. I put one on a new low profile stand and it fits fine. No slouching or pulling, it's soft and non-slip so my mattress won't slide on it. Good deal for what he does.
